Jorge Duque Lara was born in Armenia, Quindio (Colombia), began as a draftsman and painter in his hometown since 1977 in the workshop of William Garzón Pictorial and Sena Arts Workshop and then enter the Instituto de Bellas Artes de Cali, and now in Santa Fe de Bogota workshops with teacher David Manzur. But more than the academic rigor of their studies and vocation enthusiastic and unwavering Jorge Duque, has been his deep sensitivity, aesthetics and inexhaustible curiosity serious discipline facing the challenge of creating. Since 1981 shows his paintings in several solo exhibitions and from 1979 to the present has made a series of exhibitions. Armenia, Medellin, Cali, Bogotá, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga have been touring their plastic roaming routes by native islanders, Colombia, Paris, Sao Paulo Panama, Venezuela, Mexico and the United States around the world where its presence has made paintings. Currently being conducted in parallel to his painting sculpture as a process development and research complement its plastic.
